Plant a tree with River Tribe

In an era in which, due to the climate crisis, more and more disastrous events are occurring and the future of our planet (due to pollution and exploitation of resources) is being put to the test on a daily basis, we believe that carrying forward reforestation or protection projects, even with small actions, means aiming to improve the planet with a view to sustainability. But how can we curb deforestation? First of all by protecting the wooded areas of our territories, adopting behaviors that respect the environment. Secondly, we can favor the use of products with rational, ecological packaging that is far from the disposable philosophy, supporting companies that choose and undertake to produce while respecting the environment. Green lifestyle, separate waste collection, zero waste, are different ways to help the Earth improve. Planting trees adds to our actions, a small but important contribution to reforestation and public greenery. We are happy that there are, at any latitude of our hemisphere, reforestation projects through environmental organizations, local institutions or through private actions like ours and many other companies. Among all the initiatives, River Tribe has always embraced the environmental cause in its own small way: planting more trees to protect habitats and biodiversity, reduce heat islands and give wellbeing to communities. River Tribe has been defined by National Geographic as the 1st outdoor center in Europe for the number of eco-sustainable activities proposed. We deeply believe in our slogan: "we don't use nature to sell sport. But we use sport to bring you closer to nature". We organize transformative experiences in the wild Pollino Park, on the border between Calabria and Basilicata, offering over 14 activities and experiential hospitality such as Glamping and Tenstile. We constantly operate with the utmost respect for nature and the territory, therefore increasing and safeguarding the forest heritage is part of our mission: we plant a tree for every holiday package we sell, contributing in our small way to the forest system of our area. In fact, every single tree planted will contribute to improving air quality and protecting both the soil and biodiversity. Our guests are an integral part of this mission of ours, being directly involved through joining individual sporting activities. All forestation projects are carried out in compliance with national regulations and international criteria established by the Kyoto Protocol. The planting of plants is usually carried out in the period between November and March, precisely because they are the most suitable months to carry out this operation; in this period of vegetative rest, in fact, the rooting of the various species used is better guaranteed. In our small way we are aware that this is a minimal contribution but, when associated with global initiatives, everything takes on different connotations. In 2020 we planted 183 trees and in 2021 over 300 trees.
