MOON LIGHT AND FULL MOON RAFTING 2024

If you are looking for a unique and evocative experience in the heart of the Pollino National Park, our Moon Light Rafting and Full Moon Rafting on the Lao River are just the thing for you. Imagine sailing on the river illuminated only by the silvery light of the moon dancing on its dark waters, creating a magical and surreal atmosphere.

The 4 km stretch of river that runs alongside the picturesque village of Laino Borgo offers the perfect setting for this night-time adventure. The Lao River becomes an enchanted body of water when the moonlight kisses it delicately, creating unique reflections.

During the activity, participants will have the opportunity to completely immerse themselves in the silence of nature and enjoy moments of tranquility and contemplation far from the chaos of everyday life. Our expert guides will accompany you on this exciting and unforgettable adventure in total safety.

The activities are suitable for adults and children aged 8 and above: it is a unique opportunity to connect with nature in a completely new way to create unforgettable memories to share with family and friends.

There are two activities dedicated to the moon:

FULL MOON RAFTING: it is the rafting of full moon nights, when the moon reaches the peak of its energy.

MOON LIGHT RAFTING: it is rafting in the moonlight; it is carried out in the evenings preceding the night of the full moon, when there is enough light to navigate.

2024 also gives us a favorable lunar calendar, here are the events not to be missed:

Full Moon Rafting:

• Saturday 22 June
• Sunday 21 July
• Monday 19 August

Moon Light Rafting:

• Thursday 20th and Friday 21st June
• Friday 19th and Saturday 20th July
• Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August

The meeting will be at our Base River Tribe, where you can enjoy an aperitif or a drink at our Jungle Bar, included in the activity fee.

Once the moon has reached the ideal height to allow natural lighting of the river, you will be prepared by our guides with the necessary equipment: we will provide you with shoes and neoprene wetsuit, water jacket, life jacket and helmet.

Don't forget to bring with you a swimsuit, a technical t-shirt or in technical fabric to wear under your wetsuit, a dry change and everything you need for the shower.

To further enrich your experience, we remind you that it is possible to book a holiday package complete with overnight stay in our experiential campsite: Glamping tents for those who do not want to give up comfort, tents suspended among the trees for the more adventurous, or the classic camping tents, also available for rental. For those who prefer an alternative solution, we remind you that it is also possible to stay in one of the selected structures in the area including a farmhouse, hotel, widespread hotel or B&B.
