Easter holiday on Pollino

For her Easter holidays, Lorella chose to rely completely on River Tribe. We have therefore prepared one of our holiday packages complete with activities, meals and overnight stays. Easter Monday this year will be April 18th and we know, the weather is unpredictable, but there's no problem! All the activities we have organized for them can be carried out even in case of rain.

"I really wanted to organize something special for these holidays both for my husband and I, and for my 12 and 14 year old children; the activities you offer are ideal for all of us to recharge together in nature!". This is what Lorella told us when we asked her what their needs were, to prepare a tailor-made holiday package.

River Walking Jannello, walking in the jungle!

Lorella and her family will leave Bari in the morning and have lunch along the way. The first activity has been scheduled in the early afternoon and will be the River Walking Jannello! It's a beautiful activity, similar to the canyoning but without the use of ropes; you walk in the water and there are points where you can dive until you reach a spectacular waterfall! They will be equipped with a wetsuit, helmet, water jacket and shoes and it will be possible to request a photo shoot to immortalize these moments.

River Tubing, fun guaranteed!

The morning of the second day is dedicated to River Tubing, undoubtedly one of the most fun activities we offer. It is an inflatable donut in which you sit inside to float on the Lao River and is maneuvered as if it were a canoe, with the paddle independently, but always followed by our guides, all certified and expert. This is how you descend the Lao River in total safety and complete enjoyment. Also in this case, we will provide all the necessary equipment and a photo shoot with the GoPro!

Lunch will be in one of the farmhouses or restaurants selected by us in the Pollino area with many local, 0 km and organic products. After two hours of activity it's right to treat yourself to a good lunch, plentiful and without worries 🙂 Laino Borgo (CS), where our center is located, is famous for its 0 km sausages but also for vegetarian recipes such as stuffed peppers and homemade fusilli with tomato, delicious!

Mountain Bike on Pollino, let's uncross our legs!

The afternoon will then be dedicated to mountain bike: we will leave directly from our base at 4pm and go to discover the Pollino Park which is full of biodiversity but also art and history! Right near our base there are archaeological excavations of the Ancient Laos and the enchanted village of the old Laino Castello which is a UNESCO Geosite. During the tour in mountain bike we will discover the murals of Laino Borgo, they were painted by local artists, until we pass through the narrowest street in Italy, which is located right among the alleys of the village. To reach Laino Borgo/Castello we will pass through the Calabria Parks cycle path, over 800 km of cycle path that crosses the four large national parks of Calabria from north to south, and the first town is ours! In fact, at our base, we offer assistance for cycle tourism with our bike workshop, thanks to our certified and expert instructors.

I like to give my children the opportunity to get to know each other in unusual situations, discover flora and fauna and learn by doing outdoor activities."

More than just a campsite in Calabria…

For their overnight stay they chose our experiential camping which is much more than just a campsite! With the combination of Glamping and Tentsile (the tents suspended between the trees), Lorella and her husband will sleep in a Glamping tent with a double memory mattress and air conditioner, while their children (with good sleeping bags) will sleep in the suspended tents.

Some of the trees where the suspended tents are fixed are located near the Glamping: in this way the children will have the experience of sleeping like in a nest in the forest, while, not far away, the parents will be able to enjoy an extra-luxury tent!

With the arrival of Spring, all our activities will also resume, including the rafting, the river walking and the yoga classes.
