MOON LIGHT AND FULL MOON RAFTING 2025

If you want to live a fascinating and out of the ordinary experience in the heart of the Pollino National Park, our Moon Light Rafting and Full Moon Rafting events on Lao River are right for you. Imagine sliding on the waters of the river, illuminated only by the silvery glow of the moon reflecting on the dark surface, creating an enchanted and dreamlike atmosphere.

The approximately 4 km route, which runs alongside the charming village of Laino Borgo, is the ideal setting for this nocturnal adventure. When the moonlight gently caresses the Lao River, the latter transforms into an enchanting body of water, giving life to unique and unrepeatable plays of light.

During the excursion, participants will have the opportunity to completely immerse themselves in the quiet of nature, savoring moments of peace and contemplation away from the noise of everyday life. Our expert guides will guarantee you an exciting and safe experience, ready to accompany you along the journey.

The activities are suitable for both adults and children aged 8 and above, offering a special opportunity to connect with nature in a new and engaging way, creating precious memories to share with friends and family.

There are two experiences dedicated to the moon:

• FULL MOON RAFTING: an excursion in rafting which takes place on full moon nights, when our satellite is at its maximum splendor.

• MOON LIGHT RAFTING: an adventure in rafting illuminated by the moon, organized in the evenings immediately before or after the full moon, when its light is still sufficient to guarantee suggestive navigation.

Moon Light Rafting:

• Sunday 10 August

The meeting point will be at our Base River Tribe, where you can start the experience with an aperitif or a drink at the Jungle Bar, already included in the participation fee.

When the moon reaches the ideal height to naturally illuminate the river, our staff will provide you with all the necessary equipment for the excursion: neoprene shoes and wetsuit, waterproof jacket, life jacket and helmet.

What to bring with you:

• Swimsuit

• Technical t-shirt or in breathable fabric to wear under the wetsuit

• Change of dry clothes

• Shower essentials

To make the experience even more special, you can choose to stay overnight at our experiential campsite. Options include:

• Glamping, for those who want maximum comfort

• Tents suspended in the trees, for a more adventurous experience

• Traditional camping tents, also available for rental

Alternatively, you can stay in one of the accommodation facilities in the area, including farmhouses, hotels, widespread hotels or selected B&Bs.
