Spring in Pollino: what to do between the river and the paths
What to do in spring in Pollino: rafting on Lao, trekking, e-bike, temperatures, clothing and tips for organizing a weekend.
Spring in Pollino combines living water, longer days, and rapidly changing paths. It is an ideal season for those who prefer moderate temperatures and changing landscapes, but requires flexibility.
On the Lao, rain and melting snow can increase the flow rate. The rafting gains energy and the guides choose the route based on the conditions. There is no need to compare the descent with a summer photo: the spring river is another river.
For trekking and e-bike the soil may be moist. You need suitable shoes, a waterproof jacket and layered clothing. In the valley it can be hot while at altitude there is wind, cold or residual snow.
A balanced weekend includes rafting on one of the two days and a land activity on the other, leaving room for a change of plan. Check the opening of the accommodations and book in advance on public holiday weekends.
Spring rewards those who listen to the territory. Communicate the dates and group to the staff: River Tribe will propose activities compatible with the Lao level and the weather, without forcing the program.
