Pollino in 3 days: itinerary between Lao, villages and mountains

3-day itinerary in the Pollino based on Laino Borgo: rafting on the Lao, trekking, villages, glamping and advice for not running.

Three days are enough to understand the Pollino if you choose a common thread. Based in Laino Borgo you can alternate river, mountain and villages reducing travel.

Day 1: arrival and territory. Settle into River Camp or a facility in the area, visit Laino Borgo and allow time to orient yourself. If you arrive early, choose a light activity like e-bike or yoga, not an already full day.

Day 2: Lao River. Dedicate the morning to rafting on the most suitable descent for the group. After shower and lunch, rest at the base or visit Papasidero. The canyon requires energy and deserves not to be compressed between two appointments.

Day 3: Pollino on foot. Choose a trekking based on weather and training. It is not necessary to reach the highest peak: beech forests, plateaus and cultural routes can be equally significant.

The program must be adapted to the season and conditions. Spring and autumn require more attention to the weather; in summer it is best to leave early for land-based activities. If you travel with children, always alternate a main experience with free time.
