Serra Dolcedorme is the roof of the Pollino National Park and the southern Apennines: 2,267 meters from which the view embraces two seas, the Ionian and the Tyrrhenian. The climb passes through centuries-old beech forests and high-altitude meadows up to the open ridges where the Loricati pines stand. A challenging excursion but within the reach of those with trained legs, guided by an Official Park Guide.
