How to add more magic to a rafting descent?
Sail on the Lao river under the moonlight or on full moon nights: the stretch of river that runs alongside the historic center of Laino Borgo offers unique sensations. The silence of the night gives way to the gentle sound of flowing water and the song of cicadas. Completely immersed in the nature of the Pollino National Park, our expert guides will introduce you to an almost surreal journey, when the glow of the fireflies and the reflections of the moon on the water will intoxicate your senses creating an intimate and unforgettable atmosphere.
The activities that River Tribe proposes to honor the Moon and its light are two, for adults and children from 8 years old and up: FULL MOON RAFTING: Full Moon Rafting: this is the phase where the moon concentrates the maximum expansion of its energy. MOONLIGHT RAFTING: Moonlight Rafting: it is carried out during the evenings of the week that precede the full moon. The year 2023 gives us a lunar calendar that is particularly favorable.

Full Moon Rafting:

- Tuesday, August 1st / Supermoon!
- Thursday, August 31st / Supermoon!
Moonlight Rafting:
- from Saturday, May 27th to Friday, June 2nd
- from Tuesday, June 27th to Saturday, July 1st
- from Wednesday, July 26th to Monday, July 31st
- from Friday, August 25th to Wednesday, August 30th
The meeting point will be at our River Tribe base in Laino Borgo, for an aperitif/drink at the Jungle Bar while waiting for the Moon to reach the ideal height to illuminate the river. At that point, we will prepare with all the necessary equipment (provided by River Tribe): neoprene shoes and wetsuit, water jacket, life jacket, helmet.
What to bring with you?
A swimsuit and a thermal or technical fabric shirt to wear under the wetsuit, a dry change of clothes, and shower necessities. To make your experience even more complete and immersive, book a stay in our experiential camping area: Glamping tents with all comforts are available, or for the more adventurous, tents suspended between the trees or classic camping tents. Upon waking up, the Jungle Bar will await you with freshly baked croissants!
