PURE ADRENALINE INSIDE THE POLLINO NATIONAL PARK!

Rafting is an outdoor recreational sport: it is a relatively recent sport, officially born in Italy in 1987, where inflatable rafts called ‘rafts’ are used.

Thanks to the will of a group of enthusiasts, in order to promote and spread this activity, the Italian Rafting Association (AIRaft) has been founded, now called Italian Rafting Federation. Since 2010 Rafting is recognized by Coni as a sports discipline associated with the Italian Canoe Federation Kayak (FICK).

Those who practice rafting engage in the descent of rapids into rivers or streams which, depending on the degree of difficulty, offer adrenaline moments. Normally is made up of 7 people: six passengers which thanks to the use of paddles are the propulsive force, and a guide who, through commands and his/her skills, creates fun and safe trajectories.

Rivers are distinguished by degrees of difficulty through a scale that varies according to the volume of water that the river has. They range from the 1st level, easy, to the 5th level, very difficult and sometimes with dangerous rapids, up to the 6th level, which represent the limit of practicability at a commercial level.
