Serra Dolcedorme, with its 2267 mt on the sea level, is the highest peak of Calabria and all southern Italy.
The mountain owes its name to its shape, a woman who sleeps and perfectly embodies a sinuous and gentle profile.
It can be reached starting from Colle dell’Impiso, at an altitude of 1560 mt on the sea level. A tree-lined path will lead us to the Piani di Vacquarro at an altitude of 1500 mt. and then, Piano Gaudolino.
From here, we reach the Grande Dolina del Pollino, Cozzo Beppe Scutari and Canale del Malvento before starting the climb to Serra Dolcedorme.
