Snowshoes are implemented that help to walk on snow – more or less fresh – without sinking, and without slipping when it is frozen. But how are they? They usually have an aluminum frame and a support surface for the boot with a closing system to hold the foot steady.
Thanks to these “rackets for the feet” you can get to places that would be impossible to reach walking in the snow. The Pollino Park is a very wild area but thanks to snowshoes the snow is pure fun and an experience accessible to all thanks to many possible trails. Snowshoes are an inclusive sport and suitable for everyone, if you are a couple, a family or a large group do not hesitate to contact us, we will help you plan an unforgettable excursion.
We recommend clothes suitable for snow, sunglasses and trekking shoes or waterproof shoes. All the trails we propose are loop circuits that vary in length and time required. They do not involve any particularly complicated or extreme passage.
The MEETING POINT is in the heart of the Pollino Park at the Rifugio Fasanelli, in loc. Pedarreto in Rotonda (PZ) a very special place at about 1350 mt altitude! Do you want to go snowshoeing, too?
